Last week I stopped by the Hop and Vine
Bottle shop/bar in North Portland. It is a
Bottle Shop / Bar You can select a wine or
beer bottle and then drink it there for
a corkage fee.
Wine bottle corkage $5, Beer $1 for 12 oz
$2 for Bombers. They have also a very nice
selection of 5 or so Beers on tap, A big
Grappa selection and about 15 or so
different wine by the glass pours.
The Bottle shop aspect makes it nice for wine drinkers who don’t
like the outrageous mark ups at bars and restaurants. In the scheme of things
a 5$ corkage on a wine bottle is not bad.
It’s a lively place on a Tuesday night in the dead of February it was
hopping, I got the feeling they do a pretty good local neighborhood
business. So if you are in north Portland give them a shot.
