Most Pinot Noir Wine lovers know very little about the German version of this grape “Spatburgunder”.

The German Spatburgunders of the Baden area have been garnering some great press in head

to head blind tastings with some of the best of Burgundy. Plus they are usually much cheaper.

Well, today I have German Spatburgunder to review. the wine is called “Two Worlds” 90% German Pinot Noir 10% Oregon Pinot Noir. The wine is a collaboration between Riesling master Dr. Loosen and Oregon Pinot producer

Smell – Strawberries, a hint of cherry and a hint of Black Licorice
~
Taste – Supple cherries with Black Licorice and a hint of Strawberry
~
Verdict – 88 points excellent value – Look for this!
